Buphuon Temple in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia |
Buphuon
is sometimes known as the world's largest jigsaw
puzzle temple and has
long been one of the most spectacular of
Angkor temples. On the western
side of the temple is the retaining wall of
the second level. The wall
was fashioned maybe in the 15th or
16th century into a reclining Buddha
60m in length. The unfinished
figure is difficult to make out, but the
head is on the northern side of the
wall. It is one of the peaceful
places to visit in Siem Reap province.

It
is not coincident that there are two ponds and a "naga" bridge at IFL.
These were designed based on certain norms and beliefs. As seen,
traditionally, Khmer people adorned their buildings by surrounding them
with ponds and bridges decorated with dragon heads. These ancient styles
of campus represent calmness, coolness, and happiness.

An intensive study tour in Independence Palace in 2011, Saigon, Vietnam
"On April 30th 1975, at 15:30, President Minh made this statement on a
Radio Broadcast: "I declare the Saigon government...completely dissolved
at all levels." The city of Saigon had officially fallen. The Vietnam
War was finally over. The city was thereby renamed Ho Chi Minh City,
after North Vietnam's source of inspiration, their Communist leader.
The Fall of Saigon was a very important event because it marked not only
the end of the Vietnam War, but the beginning of the formal
reunification of Vietnam under Communist Rule. This tumultuous war had
finally come to an end, and the macabre scene in Vietnam was at its
close, at least for the most part." Click here to read a short history of reunification of Vietnam in 1975.
Reunification Palace (in Vietnamese, Dinh Thống Nhất) formerly known as Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập), built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was the site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates.
Night market at Da Lat (in Vietnamese, Đà Lạt) which is the capital of Lam Dong province in Vietnam. The city is located 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level on the Langbiang Plateau in the southern parts of the Central Highlands (in Vietnamese, Tây Nguyên). In Vietnam, Da Lat is a popular tourist destination (VN Diary News). The weather is cold there.
"Angkor Wat is perhaps the greatest of Man's essays in rectangular architecture
that has yet been brought to life." - Arnold Joseph Toynbee, East West.
A linga or a lingam "(លិង្គ:) is a very complex symbol of Hinduism (Hindu religion). It is associated with Shiva, one of the three main Gods of the Hinduism. The Hindu scriptures say that a "linga" represents energy and strength. In almost all the temples of Shiva, Shiva is shown in the form of a linga. The "linga" picture above was taken inside Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The style of windows of Angkor reflects the greatness of Khmer
architecture during that time.
The Terrace of the Elephants (in Khmer, ព្រះលានជល់ដំរី) is part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, a ruined temple complex in Cambodia. The terrace was used by the king Jayavarman VII as a platform from which to view his victorious returning army. It was attached to the palace of Phimeanakas (in Khmer, ប្រាសាទភិមានអាកាស),
of which only a few ruins remain. Most of the original structure was
made of organic material and has long since disappeared. Most of what
remains are the foundation platforms of the complex. The terrace is
named for the carvings of elephants on its eastern face.
